“Aidansforms replaced all our paper forms for midwifery and prenatal tracking across Mexico, giving us real-time visibility into patient care.” — Xanic Serrano, Project Lead
The midwives of Tijuana were juggling stacks of paper forms, handwritten notes, and spreadsheets to track prenatal and postnatal care. Each patient visit required filling out detailed forms capturing medical history, vital signs, lab results, emotional well-being, and follow-up plans.
Stanford pediatricians partnered with local midwives to standardize care and improve maternal and infant outcomes. However, the analog workflow made it nearly impossible to monitor multiple clinics, follow patients across visits, or maintain accurate health records.

Capturing Every Detail
Aidansforms transformed the process. The digital forms mirrored the physical templates, including:
- Full patient history: allergies, medications, chronic conditions
- Vital signs and labs (linked to “rangos de salud” for normal ranges)
- Emotional and spiritual well-being
- Detailed consultation notes for first, second, and third visits
- Next appointment scheduling and midwife assignment
Staff could now record every detail in real-time, without worrying about lost forms or delayed reports. Offline functionality meant care continued seamlessly even in clinics with poor connectivity.
Xanic Serrano led the deployment and coordinated training sessions, ensuring all midwives were comfortable with the system. Integration with Stanford pediatricians provided guidance on clinical standards and lab ranges.
Impact
- 100% of paper forms replaced
- Real-time tracking for prenatal and postnatal visits
- Reduced risk of errors, missed follow-ups, and lost information
Midwives now spend more time with patients, reviewing health trends and planning interventions, rather than managing paperwork. Aidansforms has become a cornerstone of prenatal care across multiple Tijuana clinics, with the potential to expand further across Mexico.
